Gregory Rabassa
An interview with Gregory Rabassa conducted by Elizabeth Lowe in 2007 at the annual conference American Literary Translators Association.
Gregory Rabassa is a prominent translator of Latin American literature into English and a retired professor of Romance Languages and Comparative Literature at Queens College, City University of New York. He has translated such authors as José Lezama Lima, Joachim Maria Machado de Assi, and Nobel Laureate Gabriel García Márquez to name a few. Dr. Rabassa translates from both Spanish and Portuguese.
