Welcome to the Sixth Biennial Graduate Translation Conference at the University of Texas at Dallas, May 26-28, 2017.
The title of the conference this year is “Performing Translation” and we will have a weekend full of presentations, performances, workshops, and discussions.
This conference was originally organized at UCLA in 2004 by Michael Henry Heim, whose dedication as a teacher and practitioner of translation continues to inspire us and many others in the field of literary translation. Since 2004, the conference has been organized and hosted by graduate students at the University of Iowa, Columbia University, and the University of Michigan. This weekend UT Dallas will continue the tradition of promoting and fostering literary translation inspired by Michael Henry Heim.
Although the conference itself is only open to the participants in the workshops, the following events are free and open to the public:
