Our Mission

The Center for Translation Studies is a vital academic program at The University of Texas at Dallas and the School of Arts & Humanities, which works to:

• Chart innovative ways to study the art and craft of translation

• Develop interdisciplinary thinking throughout the arts and humanities

• Revitalize the study of world literature and the humanities through the integration of translation studies

• Promote groundbreaking research in the practice and theory of translation

• Link translation to the digital age, and build bridges between the humanities and the sciences to respond to the needs of a globalized world in the 21st century.
